And finally, I arrived in Manchester, VA, a charming vacation destination that instantly captivated me.
Manchester's well-maintained sidewalks and quaint shops offered a much-needed respite. I pitched my tent at the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) establishment, grateful for their hospitality and the opportunity to rest and recharge. Chores like laundry and resupplying became a welcome routine, a break from the trail's demands.
One of the highlights of my town visit was exchanging my Darn Tough socks, a testament to their durability. With a lifetime warranty, it's impressive that my socks lasted over 1600 miles before developing holes.
